Updated pics of the La Cantera wall
The 2nd tier is basically done. They'll be starting the 3rd tier next week, and we are hoping it goes fast! We are ready to be done and see the end result.
Parker's first arcade game
We went to Windy City Pizza for lunch today, and while we were waiting, Billy and Parker played an arcade game.

Splash pad fun
Parker and I met up with our mom's group at the Splash Pad this morning. He was iffy at first, but by the end, he was running all over the place. He cracks me up, because he gets going and the water gets him, and then he just laughs and screams at the same time, almost like he is trying to be scary. I guess you have to be there, but it's so funny! He went #2 in his swim diaper, and let me tell you....GROSS! Do they not make these things like diapers? I had to pull it down his legs with stuff going all over the place. It was disgusting! I am going to get on-line later to see what I can find, so we don't have to deal with that ever again.
He passed out as soon as we turned the corner out of the park, and he's still sleeping now. LOVE IT!

5 days/5 different beds - weekend wrap up
If you count us waking up in our own bed Thursday morning, then going to sleep in our own bed Monday night, you can say we slept in 5 different beds in 5 nights!
We drove back to DFW for the weekend on Thursday night, and we stayed at Bob and Kelly's. We had a great dinner with deer meat, and everything else from Kelly's garden. Everything was amazing!
On Friday, we got up and hung around the house. Billy went to meet with the landscaper at our house, and to walk the house to get a list of things needing to be done before we put it on the market. I enjoyed eating snap peas, green beans, and blueberries from Kelly's garden! It was great!
We picked up Kristen, and headed to Ashley and Jay's where we met up with them and Jayme. We had dinner at Mi Cocina, where Jeremy met up with us. The food wasn't great, but I think Jay and Billy will tell you the mambo taxi margaritas were worth it! After dinner, we met up with Jamie and James at Flip's, and Ryan and Thomas joined us a little later. John was going to meet us after he got off work, but he ended up having to work extra late. We had a fun time out, and on the way home, we stopped at Jack in the Box to feed the drunks! Ashley has been dealing with a peptic ulcer, so she wasn't drinking, and I had a terrible headache, so I wasn't either. About the time we had given up on John to come get Kristen, he called and let us know he was off work and headed that way. He got there and was ready to go, but everyone else was done!
On Saturday, we woke up and headed back to Bob and Kelly's to pick up Parker. He had a fun time swimming and hanging out with them.
After picking up Parker, we met my parents for lunch at Bone Daddy's. It was great, as always. We also stopped for ice cream at PinkBerry. I love that two of my "must hit" places are right by eachother. We put Parker down for a nap when we got to my parent's house, and Billy and my dad went to go see The Avengers, while I went to get my hair cut by Valerie, and my mom watched Parker. I had to make sure and squeeze seeing Valerie in, since it's been so long, and I just happened to be home when I was due for a trim! I always love talking and cracking up with her!
That night, we met Crystal and Mike to celebrate Mike's birthday earlier in the week. We checked into the Omni and got ready for the night. The Colonial was going on in Fort Worth, and all of the players were staying there, so we were excited to maybe run into someone. As we were coming off the elevator, we ran into Jason Dufner. At that point, he was leading the tournament, but he would go on to lose it. Billy and I had a drink at Whiskey and Rye, while we waited on Mike and Crystal. We headed to Bailey's Prime off 7th, where we enjoyed dinner. It was our first time there, but Mike and Crystal really like it and go often. I wasn't 100% sold on it, but it was fine. After dinner and a couple of taxi rides back and forth, we hung out at Barcadia for a while. It's a bar that has life size jenga and connect 4 outside, and arcade games and skee ball inside. The crowd seemed really young for us. We had a drink and headed back to the hotel bar where we hung out for a little bit longer before heading to bed.
On Sunday morning, we joined Mike and Crystal for brunch in the hotel's restaurant before heading back to my parent's house to see my family.
Grammie tried to take Parker swimming, but as you can see, he wasn't having it!
We hung out around the house waiting for Jeremy and Jayme, and Jenn and family to come for dinner.
Dad cooked flank steak, rice, and corn on the cob, and it was so good! I also had a chip mint shake for dessert...I sure miss those things, but they're so bad for me, I only let myself have one when we are at my mom's!
Monday morning, we headed back early, so we could get home and relax. Happy Memorial Day to all! We did our part by thanking all that sacrifice for us, and then eating hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill!
